Snowscooterdriving outside management area 10
The Governor reminds that visitors are not allowed to drive their own snowscooter outside management area 10, for example to Atomfjella / Newtontoppen and Sør-Spitsbergen National Park.

Visitors are allowed to drive alone in yellow areas and only in blue areas accompanied by permanent residents, as shown in map B in the regulations relating to motor traffic in Svalbard
The Governor also reminds of the risk of traveling near glacier fronts. We have been notified that some tour operators also drive with guests close to glacier fronts.
