Dogs to Svalbard
You need permission from the Norwegian Food Safety Authority to take a dog to Svalbard. The laws and regulations are in Norwegian language only.

The case processing time is expected to be three weeks, and the application must be received by the Norwegian Food Safety Authority at least four weeks prior to the departure date to guarantee that you will receive a response in time.
Send the application with a copy of the pet passport with vaccinations and blood tests to postmottak@mattilsynet.no.
You must contact Widerøe Ground Handling at the airport immediately after landing in Longyearbyen for registration and inspection of the paperwork.
