Withdrawal of charges for Russian vessel
The Governor of Svalbard has determined that charges against Russian vessel
“Jupiter” are to be withdrawn. Investigation has shown that the captain of
the vessel had sent the catch reports to the Norwegian authorities in a wrong
way. The reports were never received at the Norwegian Directorate of
Fiseheries.
It was Tuesday the 16th the vessel was inspected and captured by the
Norwegian Coastguard. Yesterday the captain was informed about the withdrawal
of charges, and the vessel was released.
